This painting combines the feeling of a sweet metaphorical city with it`s curious houses and some architectural elements of Alesund city in Norway. What captivated me about it is the Art nouveau decorative elements on the buildings and their dreamy shapes. If one looked closer in the windows one could see people, objects and fun details that can tell stories about those living there. I always find it fun playing with rhythms and small details in my compositions. It helps creating movement. That is why i called this picture “The city tale”.
